Now Mozza has revealed his favourite records of all-time in an interview with music website thequietus.com
The former Smiths frontman cited the likes of Jeff Buckley, The Velvet Underground, Patti Smith and the Ramones in the list, which also featured Iggy And The Stooges' Raw Power and The Smoking Popes' Born To Quit, of which Morrissey gushed: "Did you ever hear Born To Quit? I thought that album was extraordinary, the most loveable thing I'd heard in years."

Interesting, but hardly surprising that Morrissey cites Sparks Kimono My House as an important album. The difficulty would be choosing which Sparks album, I would have thought. We all know about his obsession with the NY Dolls but hitherto I'd not been aware of his sparks fetish. It's indeed wonderful to see the most important singer ever acknowledge a band that unbelievably is still making albums 30 years later. Go Mozz, go the Mael brothers.
