More Bluesfest sideshows

More of the artists on this year's Byron Bluesfest bill have added sideshows whilst they're in Oz.

Veteran funkster George Clinton...who turns 70 this year...will bring his 32-strong Parliament/Funkadelic army to shows in Sydney and Melbourne in late April, while the likes of Tim Robbins, Michelle Shocked and Los Lobos have also announced extra Aussie dates.

Little Bushman
Thursday 21st April 2011 – The Gaelic, Sydney
Friday 22nd April – East Brunswick Club, Melbourne

Buffy Sainte-Marie
Wednesday 20th April – National Theatre, Melbourne
Saturday 23rd April – State Theatre, Sydney

Raul Malo (Former writer and lead singer for The Mavericks)
Sunday 17th April – The Basement, Sydney
Monday 18th April – Lizottes, Dee Why
Monday 25th April – East Brunswick Club, Melbourne

Los Lobos with special guest Raul Malo

George Clinton (born July 22, 1941) is an American singer, songwriter, bandleader, and music producer and the principal architect of P-Funk. He was the mastermind of the bands Parliament and Funkadelic during the 1970s and early 1980s, and began his work as a solo artist in 1981. He has been called one of the most prominent innovators of funk music, along with James Brown and Sly Stone....
