In a surprise move, the three surviving members of 60s pop band The Monkees have announced a tour.

Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork announced a 12-date North American run for November. It was widely assumed that Davy Jones' death in February this year would spell the end for the band, but not so...

The deciding factor was Mike Nesmith's return to the fold, after having very little to do with the band since a short tour in 1997. "I never really left" Says Nesmith."We did some good work together and I am always interested in the right time and the right place to reconnect and play".
