Update: Monday 19 December:
Doctors may decide today whether to bring music guru Molly Meldrum out of a coma.
The 65-year-old fractured his skull, broke his collarbone and cracked several ribs after falling three metres while putting up Christmas decorations at his Richmond home on Thursday.
He remains in a critical but stable condition at the Alfred Hospital.
His brother, Brian Meldrum, says doctors are pleased with how things are progressing but it is a waiting game.

After surgery overnight, Molly’s long-time manager Mark Klemens told the ABC “He suffered significant injuries to his chest area, shoulder-blade area, head injuries, fractured skull and some injuries there" he said. "Really the next 24 hours are critical."
This morning, neurosurgeon Jeffrey Rosenfeld was encouraged that pressure on his brain had stabilised, though Meldrum's condition remains critical and in a "deep coma".
Well wishes have poured out over social media from the likes of Boy George, Silverchair’s Ben Gillies and with Adam Hills saying “Sending every possible happy and healing thought to Molly Meldrum tonight. ‘Don’t Leave us this way’.”
