Phil Lynott's widow has insisted on a cease and desist order to stop US Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney using Thin Lizzy's music...

Romney used the 1976 Lizzy track 'The Boys Are Back In Town' at the recent Florida Republican convention, but Caroline Lynott-Taraskevics - who's also one of the controllers of the Irishman's estate - says "Absolutely in no way would Philip have supported Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan and he would have been so happy about Obama becoming US president…in America, the record company gives permission, so we have told them to issue a cease and desist order to the Republican Party."

Thin Lizzy are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. Two of the founding members, drummer Brian Downey and bass guitarist/vocalist Phil Lynott, met while still in school. Lynott assumed the role of frontman and led them throughout their recording career of twelve studio albums.
