Meredith 2009
The annual festival takes place over the second weekend of December each year in the small town of Meredith in Victoria.
This year Paul Kelly will finally join the Meredith party, taking to the natural amphitheatre stage on the Saturday night (December 12).
He’ll be joined by local talent Eddy Current Suppression Ring, folk-popsters Kid Sam, the serene Sia, Townsville indie outfit The Middle East and the freshly re-formed 90s grunge rockers Tumbleweed.
International acts include Animal Collective, Jarvis Cocker, Akron, Royal Crown Revue and Patrick Wolf.
Festival organisers will this year add another 5 hectares to its camping grounds while maintaining the existing audience capacity, and let punters in earlier on the Friday. To quote the festival organisers, “2009 will surely go down as a Very Good Vintage”.
Tickets go on sale in stores on September 8 and online from September 10.
