Melbourne Sound Relief Sells Out
More than 100,000 tickets have been snapped up for the Sound Relief concerts featuring Coldplay, Midnight Oil, Split Enz, Kings Of Leon, Paul Kelly and more.
The $75 tickets, aimed at raising money for victims of the Victorian bushfires and Queensland floods, went on sale yesterday.
Organisers say they have been overwhelmed by the public support, calling it a "stupendous outpouring of goodwill from across Australia".
"Being able to sell over 100,000 tickets in eights hours to further bolster that income is a source of great pride to us all as representatives of the Australian music community," the concert producers said in a joint statement.
