Johnny Cash is to be reincarnated for a video game.

Johnny Cash will be reincarnated in digital form for the latest Guitar Hero video game, due out in early September.

He’ll feature in the fifth version of the game – where players simulate the guitar skills of great rock and rollers of the world – alongside the likes of Shirley Manson from Garbage, and Carlos Santana.

Cash will be an unlockable character in the game, which will feature his classic song Ring of Fire.
