The petition was submitted with more than 22,000 signatures by local musicians including Ross Wilson, Kram from Spiderbait, Clare Bowditch, Angie Hart, Dan Sultan and Evelyn Morris (aka Pikelet).

We need to keep this issue alive and not be complacent. An election is looming and we need to make sure that live music and late night night club violence are once and for all kept separate. Those of us who go to our local "Chicken Shop" once a week, listen to live music and have a glass of wine don't want to loose this very important part of our personas. Don't be a couch potato, stand up and be counted!
