The tour will now begin in France on 15 September, five days before Cohen’s 76th birthday.
The singer has given almost 200 concerts around the world since his return to touring in May 2008 after more than a decade's absence from the music scene.
Last year, Cohen spent time in a Spanish hospital after collapsing on stage, apparently from food poisoning.
