Former Aussie Idol alumni Jessica Mauboy was the big winner at the 15th annual Deadly Awards in Sydney.

Mauboy received four awards; Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year for her hit Burn, Album of the Year for Been Waiting, and APRA Song of the Year for Running Back - a gong she shares with co-writers Sean Mullins and Audius Mtawarira.

Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu was voted Male Artist of the Year for the second year in a row, while 80-year-old singer-songwriter Seaman Dan was honoured with the Jimmy Little Life Achievement Award at the Opera House ceremony.

The Deadlys honour Indigenous performers variety of fields including music, film, sports, the arts and education.
