US singer-songwriter Jack Johnson is to headline at Bluesfest 2010.

Johnson was in Australia this year for Sound Relief and last year played a sold out Centennial Park show in Sydney and two Myer Music Bowl shows in Melbourne.

“Surf's up in Byron this Easter,” said an enthusiastic Johnson following the announcement.

Already on the bill for Bluesfest's 21st anniversary are: Crowded House, Buddy Guy, Gipsy Kings, Jeff Beck, Lyle Lovett and Dr John.

The festival runs from Thursday the first to Monday the fifth of April.
