I'll Scratch Yours?
Peter Gabriel’s new album Scratch My Back will be released on the 15th of February and will feature Gabriel covering artists such as Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Magnetic Fields and David Bowie.
However after the release, Gabriel plans to reverse-roles with a follow-up album entitled I’ll Scratch Yours. This release will feature the artists who covered Gabriel on Scratch my Back singing Gabriel’s tunes.
The first example of this was released as a single over the weekend with Magnetic Fields front-man Stephin Merritt releasing an online version of Gabriel’s 'Not One of Us'.
This is in response to Gabriel’s rendition of the Magnetic Fields’ 1999 track The Book of Love, which is also available online.
