Hendrix tribute album on way

40 plus years since his death, interest in the late guitar legend is stronger than ever, and now a swag of musicians are set to pay tribute.

In April, a new compilation disc will hit the shops. Power of Soul: A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix features guitar gurus Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana and Robert Randolph as well as the likes of Cee Lo Green, Chaka Khan and Sting covering a variety of Hendrix tunes.

The record is due to hit the shelves on April 12.

Well done, jforge...wondered who'd be first to spot the deliberate Dig Music Mistake of the Week...fancy those naughty record companies trying to pull the wool over our eyes...shame on 'em.
