Hendrix History on Sale
That's the current estimate for the 1959 Fender Duo-Sonic that Jimi played during his 1964 stint touring the US with the Isley Brothers, and which is up for auction in the UK early next month.
Previously thought to have gone missing, the guitar turned up in the London studios of Chas Chandler, who sold it to veteran music entrepreneur Rod Weinburg for the not-so-princely sum of 650 dollars.
The guitar has most recently been on loan to The Jimi Hendrix Exhibition held at the Handel House Museum in London.
