The track launches the second project for Beck's Record Club, which is designed as an informal meeting of various musicians to record an album in a day, with no rehearsals or prior arrangements. This Record Club series will focus on the 1968 album Songs Of Leonard Cohen.
To assist on this recording Beck recruited MGMT, Devendra Banhart, Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale and Little Joy's Binki Shapiro, who played on the raw renditions.
