Very late one night during sessions for the Starstruck movie, I was asked by the producer Mark Moffat to do him a favour and sing a quick guide vocal of a Tim Finn song to help Jo Kennedy pitch and phrase the song. I listened to the cassette of Tim's demo, wrote out the words and sang them...total time...15 to 20 minutes. Went home. Next I knew it was a single...a duet....I was the male voice ( mimed by an actor). The song was No 1 for weeks and weeks, made Tim thousands of dollars...I got zilch...zilch for the session...zilch for the sales and airplay. So...who got the artists share of royalties?? Imagine my joy and excitement at this re release of a song that, really, I saved from oblivion. It was not going to survive till I sang it.If Glenn Richards even hints at my vocal treatment then what does that make him.
