He wasn't a lonesome hobo...

Bob Dylan
Aug 17, 2009 Updated Aug 18, 2009

Bob Dylan was recently detained in New Jersey when local homeowners mistook him for a hobo.

Police officer Kristie Buble responded to a call from the owners of a property for sale, saying they had seen an “eccentric-looking old man” wandering around their yard. When Buble pulled up alongside Dylan, he identified himself but could not provide any supporting ID, and the officer wasn't convinced.

Officer Buble then decided to approach the convoy of tour buses parked nearby, where Dylan’s tour manager eventually produced the 68-year old rocker's passport and the matter was resolved. Dylan then asked the officer to drive him back to where he'd been picked up, as he was genuinely interested in purchasing the property and hadn't yet finished looking around.
