It is with great sadness that we must close the book on the Aerosmith soap opera...

It seems the band are now more or less happily reconciled with vocalist steven Tyler and have called off their search for a replacement...indeed, they'll be performing - with Tyler - at several European festival gigs in June, with other European dates to be announced shortly.

There's no word on whether Tyler's threat to sue the band if they persisted in seeking to replace him had anything to do with their new-found solidarity.

Maybe we won't close that book just yet...
