Goldfrapp and Portishead members team up for silent film score

Goldfrapp's Will Gregory will team up with Adrian Utley of Portishead on a new score for the 1928 French film 'The Passion Of Joan Of Arc'.

The score will be performed live during the screening of the silent film, which is recognised as a landmark in cinematic history.

The set-up will include six electric guitars requiring a conductor to keep them all in sync.

It will be performed in Bristol on May 7, although there are rumours that a tour may eventuate.

Meanwhile, Goldfrapp are set to release their new album Head First on March 22.
