John Lennon's tooth has been sold for more than $31000...to a Canadian dentist.

Michael Zuk, author of Confessions of a Former Cosmetic Dentist - a lurid tale of celebrity teeth - stumped up the winning bid, and plans to display his prize in his office and eventually take it on a tour of other practices and dental schools.

"Some people will think it’s gross, others will be fascinated by it." he said.
