Gimme some tooth

John Lennon and tooth
Oct 20, 2011 Updated Oct 21, 2011

A unique piece of Beatle memorabilia is up for auction next month...one of John Lennon's teeth.

The macarbre souvenir was given to Lennon's former housekeeper Dot Jarlett when she worked for him at Kenwood mansion in Surrey in the late 1960s.

He told her to give it to her daughter "as a souvenir" after he had pulled it out in the kitchen of the Weybridge property.

Karen Fairweather, from Omega Auctions, said: "This is the most wonderful and weird item that we have ever had for sale".

The tooth is expected to raise upwards of 15 thousand dollars when it's auctioned in Manchester on November 5.
