Lady Gaga
Aug 30, 2011 Updated Sep 1, 2011

Songs by Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Katy Perry are on a list of 100 songs blacklisted by China's culture ministry.

Chinese Music websites have until September 15 to remove the songs, which officials say are "too vulgar".

Most of the banned songs are from Taiwanese or Hong Kong artists, but of the Western acts featured, Lady Gaga has six tracks on the blacklist, including 'Born This Way', 'Edge Of Glory' and 'Judas'. while Beyonce and Katy Perry only rate one offensive track each.

The blacklist is part of a pledge the culture ministry made two years ago to protect the country's youth from what it calls "poor taste and vulgar content" on the internet.
