If you happen to be at a loose end in Sydney this weekend, why not pop along to see Powderfinger...for free?

The band will perform tracks from their new album Golden Rule at a live performance this weekend in support of the Australian Skin Cancer Awareness campaign.

The gig is this Sunday December 6, at 5pm in the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park.

In case you can't be there, or in case you will be there and just want to see yourself on telly, the event will also be broadcast on Channel 9 on Thursday December 17 at 7:30pm and on Channel [V] on Saturday December 19 at 5pm.

Powderfinger was an Australian rock band that formed in Brisbane in 1989. From 1992 until their breakup the band lineup consisted of vocalist Bernard Fanning, guitarists Darren Middleton and Ian Haug, bassist John Collins, and drummer Jon Coghill. Powderfinger became a commercial success with their third studio album Internationalist in 1998. They followed up that success with several hit singles...
