Foo Fighters in Sydney

Dave Grohl has hinted that Foo Fighters may be hanging up their instruments for a while...

At last weekend's Reading Festival in the UK, the Foos played a mammoth 26-song set lasting two and a half hours, at the end of which frontman Grohl told the capacity crowd: "It's the last show of the tour and it's the last show for a long time".

There's been no further word as yet from either the band or their management as to quite what he meant by that...

The Foo Fighters is an American rock band, formed in Seattle in 1994. It was founded by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl as a one-man project following the death of Kurt Cobain and the resulting dissolution of his previous band. The group got its name from the UFOs and various aerial phenomena that were reported by Allied aircraft pilots in World War II, which were known collectively as foo fighters....
