Empire of the Sun
Aug 15, 2011 Updated Aug 17, 2011

Empire Of The Sun vocalist Luke Steele has reunited with partner Nick Littlemore, and new material is in the works.

Steele told NME that the duo went into a New York studio last month to lay down a series of demos for the followup to their 2008 debut Walking On A Dream.

Littlemore hasn't had much to do with the band since the album was released, choosing instead to concentrate on his involvement with Pnau, and leaving Steele to tour on his own.

Speaking of the reunion, Steele said: "The day before we actually went into the studio was the first time we'd spoken since the Brit Awards last year...the sessions went really well and we're hoping to go into the studio again in September".
