Elton Russells up a new release

Elton John and veteran US singer/songwriter Leon Russell are working on an album together, with an impressive list of guests.

Neil Young, Booker T Jones, guitarist Marc Ribot and drummer Jim Keltner will also contribute to the album, according to the website of Elton's long time collaborator  Bernie Taupin.

According to the site the collective has already cut 15 tracks ranging from full-on rockers to country-tinged ballads and gospel.

A release schedule for the album is yet to be revealed.
