Former Orange Juicer Edwyn Collins has announced plans for a star-studded solo album.

The singer has roped in The Cribs' Ryan Jarman and Johnny Marr, Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos and Nick McCarthy, The Magic Numbers singer Romeo Stodart and Aztec Camera singer Roddy Frame for the 12 track album, Losing Sleep, due for release in September.

It's Collins' first studio outing since he suffered a stroke in 2005.
