UK popster Ed Sheeran will team up with Pink Floyd at the Olympics closing ceremony...sort of.

Ed enthused about the collaboration on Aussie radio yesterday, saying "I'm doing a song with Pink Floyd. I'm doing 'Wish You Were Here'". Sadly this is only partly true; after Floyd HQ moved to deny rumours of a reunion of the three surviving members under Ed's leadership, Sheeran admitted that only drummer Nick Mason would in fact be taking part.

The three surviving Floydsters last performed together in 2011 when David Gilmour and Mason joined Roger Waters onstage to play 'Outside The Wall' during his show at London's O2 Arena.
