Apparently Gareth Liddiard's pizza oven is finished, because The Drones will finally release their fifth album early next year.

Writing on their Facebook page, the Melbourne quartet revealed that they're currently in the studio recording the followup to 2008's Havilah, and have promised a tour to accompany the record's release.

Earlier this year, band frontman Gareth Liddiard said the album was being held up by the construction of a pizza oven at his central Victorian property.
