The Manchester rockers have cancelled their upcoming tour Down Under.

In a statement on their official website, the band cite "circumstances beyond our control" as the reason for the pullout, adding "This is a decision we have not taken lightly and our sincere apologies go out to anyone who has bought tickets for the shows and for any inconvenience caused."

The band were due to play the  Playground Weekender festival and sideshows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth.

Refunds for all cancelled shows are available from the original points of purchase.

Doves are an English alternative rock band, originating from Wilmslow. The band comprises brothers Jez Williams and Andy Williams, and Jimi Goodwin. The members started working seriously together after meeting at The Haçienda in Manchester. Doves' unofficial fourth member is Martin Rebelski, who plays keyboards.
