Neil Young
May 6, 2010 Updated May 7, 2010

Neil Young is recording a new album with producer Daniel Lanois - whose credits include Dylan's 'Time Out Of Mind' and U2's 'Achtung Baby'.

News of the sessions was confirmed by erstwhile bandmate David Crosby, who also said he'd offered to help out on the record if needed.

"I said to him: 'If you want a harmony, I'm volunteering.'" revealed Crosby, to which Young replied "if I need one you'll be the first guy I call."

Well that sounds positive...er...probably.
