Cornell dismisses Kanye
When sounds from Kanye’s sound check could be heard from the Soundgarden stage during their set, front man Chris Cornell sounded off about what he and the fans were hearing - “Sounds like there’s children playing music there, retarded children, retarded as in held back. There’s no other word for it,” Cornell told the crowd as they booed West.
Following the spat, Kanye West graced the stage 45 minutes after he was scheduled to start.
