Can't Buy Me Love (not cheaply anyway)
Just one day after the entire Beatles back catalogue became available digitally, all 17 of the band's albums are in the iTunes Top 50, and three of them are already in the top ten.
But why are Aussies paying more than Fab Four fans in other countries, especially given our dollar's near parity with the US currency?
Folks in the US can buy a Beatles song for US$1.29, Aussie fans have to pay $2.19 in local currency for the same thing; the Beatles box set is US$149 (which equates to 152 Aussie dollars), but here it'll set you back a whopping $259.
According to the Gizmodo website there are a couple of completely legal methods by which you can buy at US prices, even though iTunes wouldn't be too pleased with you if you did...

I had the following message posted in iTunes and it last 24 hours before being deleted:
How come we pay $259 for the Beatles Box Set at iTunes Australia while the same product sells for $149 at iTunes in the US.
Bring on Revolution #10.
With the currencies almost at par and with no physical product needing to be shipped, where's the extra $110 going? Either Apple Corp or Apple Inc needs to explain.
