The odds on Bob picking up the prize have shortened from 100/1 to 5/1 over in the last 24 hours, making him the firm favourite.
Back in 1986, Alfred Nobel specified in his will that the award should go to "the person who...produced in the field of literature, the most outstanding work in an ideal direction".
