The gong for best international album will be fought out between Canadian indie rockers Arcade Fire, American singer Cee Lo Green, Eminem, US rock giants Kings of Leon and the ubiquitous Katy Perry.
Mumford & Sons - who broke in a big way last year with their debut disc Sigh No More - score three nominations: best breakthrough act, best British band and album of the year.
The BBC's Sound of 2011 winner Jessie J was voted critics' choice, beating James Blake and The Vaccines to become this year's first Brit winner,
The shortlist was revealed at London's O2 Arena, which will host the awards on February 15th next month.

Arcade Fire is an indie rock band based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, consisting of husband and wife duo of Win Butler and Régine Chassagne, along with Will Butler, Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury, Jeremy Gara, and Sarah Neufeld. I rather dislike British music, especially bands like Mumford & Sons,and i detest Brit Pop.The hottest things in the United Kingdom at the moment are Martha Tilston and Frightened Rabbit. I cannot recall DIG playing either of these artist....... so sad
