Despite having millions in the bank, Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle is living on just over 500 dollars a week.

Britain's News of the World reports that the singer, who has sold more than eight million copies of her album I Dreamed A Dream, told her family that her managers have such tight control of her money that she has to remain living in her - pre-fame - council house, and to buy her clothes at...a supermarket.

The paper reports that Boyle, 49, who rose to worldwide fame after appearing on UK TV show Britain's Got Talent, is barred from owning a credit card and from withdrawing more than 300 quid a week from her bank account.

Well,
that's not the story told on Channel 9 some weeks ago, and this latest story does come from News Of The World, so the source may be dubious.

The News Of The World is not a very reliable news source, so maybe someone should check that this story is authentic.

Ah yes, the News of the World does have its moments, but then commercial TV sometimes does too, especially when there are record company tie-ins involved. Maybe we should probably reserve judgement and see what happens next...?
