Bon Iver's premature release

Bon Iver
May 24, 2011 Updated May 31, 2011

It appears that iTunes may have accidentally leaked Bon Iver's new album more than a month ahead of schedule.

The self-titled disc was due for release on June 21 but was briefly available at the iTunes store before the mistake was spotted and rectified - but not before copies had been widely circulated via torrent sites worldwide.

iTunes declined to comment on the allegations, but it's not the first time they've been accused of accidentally leaking music – in 2008, an album by US rockers The Raconteurs appeared early, followed by an album by American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson the following year.

It is a shame that this album leaked prior to it's release. But I am guilty of hearing this leak. The album is absolutely phenomonal, so I have been telling everybody about it in the hopes that more folks will burchase it as I will be when it is finally released.

Bon Iver......how long have I been waiting for a new release from these guys. I love them and saw them live and they totally blew me away. When they finished their set people wanted more but they had no other songs to sing but I could have listened to it all over again. I will down load this new one.
