Bob Dylan can now take revenge on his critics - he's taken up the bagpipes.

The 70-year-old singer bought a set of traditional Scottish pipes from The National Piping Centre in Glasgow where he's playing a couple of gigs this weekend.

"He's always wanted to learn," a Centre spokeswoman said.

Dylan chose a set of R.G. Hardie pipes with a starter package including a chanter and a learning manual.

Fans attending this weekend’s gigs might want to take some cotton wool…just in case.
