Aussie rockers ride the Indian Pacific

James Reyne and Mark Seymour
Dec 3, 2010 Updated Dec 6, 2010

The annual Christmas journey on the Indian Pacific rail service has commenced with some Aussie rock from James Reyne and Mark Seymour.

It is the 10th anniversary of the Indian Pacific’s Christmas trip and to 'see Santa off' were James Reyne from Australian Crawl and Mark Seymour from Hunters and Collectors.

The rock legends set up their kit at Sydney’s Central Station to play some of their hit songs (and some obligatory Christmas carols), before the Indian Pacific pulled out for its 4352km journey.

Reyne and Seymour will stay with the train and perform a further 8 concerts on the 3 day trip, including gigs in Bathurst, Broken Hill, Adelaide, Watson, Kalgoorlie and Perth.

Just going through a bit of a moment here... I log on to DIG just every now and again... not so often 'cos I'm a busy person and the waves don't come to my car from that far. Found you about eight years ago whilst decorating my hall stairs and landing, I think, and assumed that all this cool music was what you were broadcasting through the night expecting no one to hear it! All these years on I still love you! I don't take you for granted and think you are unique!. Thank you for all those relaxing baths and love sessions.
Keep on doing it.
