Something For Kate, The Presets and The Rubens are among the acts playing free live shows in November to celebrate Ausmusic Month.

triple j has announced a series of events to celebrate Ausmusic Month, kicking off in Brisbane on November 1 with live sets from Something For Kate and Ball Park Music. Sydney will host a free set by The Presets on November 7, and later in the month - on the 27th - there'll be an Unearthed showcase featuring The Rubens.

Something for Kate is a rock band from Melbourne, Australia, led by songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Paul Dempsey. The band was formed in 1994 and signed to the Murmur record label a year later when its three members were aged only 19.
