Five of this year's ARIA nominees will headline a series of outdoor gigs in Sydney's Botanic Gardens next month.

Award nominees John Butler Trio, Angus & Julia Stone, Guy Sebastian, Sia and Washington will headline five concerts leading up to this year’s awards.

The outdoor shows will take place in Sydney’s Botanic Gardens from Monday November 1 to Friday November 5, with tickets being given away via competitions through Video Hits, MTV , MySpace , Sydney Morning Herald and Facebook websites.

The John Butler Trio are an Australian roots and jam band led by guitarist and vocalist John Butler. They formed in Fremantle in 1998 with Jason McGann on drums and Gavin Shoesmith on basses. By 2009, the trio was Butler with Nicky Bomba on drums and percussion, and Byron Luiters on basses.
