ARIA wrap up
Nick Littlemore was notably absent, but Luke Steele accepted awards for Best Pop Release, Best Group and the coveted Album Of The Year title for Walking On A Dream. Their song of the same name earned them another award for Single Of The Year.
Pip Brown - who makes music under the name Ladyhawke - won an award for Breakthrough Artist Album for her self-tiitled debut, and also took out the Breakthrough Artist Single ARIA for her catchy dance pop tune, ‘My Delirium’.
Other notable winners were Sarah Blasko with Best Female Artist, and Daniel Merriweather who won Best Male Artist.
C.W. Stoneking received his first ever ARIA in the Best Blues And Roots Album category for his Jungle Blues LP, Josh Pyke earned Best Adult Contemporary Album award for Chimney’s Afire, and Bertie Blackman was awarded Best Independent Release for her third studio album Secrets and Lies.
