ARIA nominees announced
Former Australian Idol contestant Jessica Mauboy – in the running for seven awards - has received the most nominations following the release of her first album Been Waiting.
Empire Of The Sun, the electronic duo made up of Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, has come in a close second, with six nominations.
This is the first nomination for these acts, who are joined by fellow newcomers New Zealand’s Ladyhawke, Melbourne indie band The Temper Trap, blues singer-songwriter CW Stoneking and indie poster girl Lisa Mitchell.
Also up for gongs are Eskimo Joe, Sarah Blasko, rock veterans AC/DC and The Presets.
British pop star Robbie Williams will be performing at the awards ceremony, which happens on November 26.
