AMP shortlist
In previous years, acts had to pay an entry fee to submit their albums for consideration, but this has now been scrapped, which will hopefully open up the field a little.
A panel of judges including Deborah Conway, Dave Faulkner, Tim Freedman and and music writer Bernard Zuel will debate this year's contenders, which so far include the likes of Deep Sea Arcade, Alpine, Hilltop Hoods, Missy Higgins and The Bamboos.
