A fan of singer Kate Bush has been deported from the UK after breaking into her house in order to propose to her.

32 year old Frank Tufaro flew from New York and spent $350 dollars for a cab ride to the singer's home in Devon with the intention of presenting Kate with a $4500 Tiffany engagement ring.

The UK's Daily Mail newspaper quoted Tufaro as saying he was inside Bush's house "for about eight minutes before I realized I had to leave. I just walked around and looked at everything. It wasn’t what I expected."

The newspaper said the singer was not at home at the time of the incident.
