More than 5000 readers of the website Music Radar were quizzed as to their favourites, and the Hendrix track came out on top, followed by Guns n Roses Sweet Child o Mine, Led Zep's Whole Lotta Love and Deep Purple's Smoke on The Water, with Eric Clapton's sterling efforts on the Derek and the Dominoes track Layla rounding out the top five.
Only two riffs from the last decade - from The White Stripes and Muse - made it into the top 20.

Is it not "Voodoo Chile" ... which was a deliberate mispelling by Jimi?
Apparently both spellings were listed on various releases...
