Got some spare cash? John Lennon's handwritten lyrics to 'A Day In The Life' are to go on sale in New York in June.

Auction house Sotheby's described the tune as "the revolutionary song that marked the Beatles' transformation from pop icons to artists", and they expect the manuscript to fetch between 538 and 753 thousand Aussie dollars when it goes under the hammer on June the 18th.

The single sheet of paper features a rough draft of the lyrics on one side with a neater version written in capital letters on the reverse.

This song of course has immense cultural value, and when "4000 Holes" goes under the hammer, I predict that the handwritten lyrics of the song will fetch considerably more than Sotheby's figures.
