Win a chance to play at Apollo Bay

Kasey Chambers, Apollo Bay
Feb 19, 2010 Updated Mar 8, 2010

774 ABC Melbourne and ABC Dig Music are giving you the chance to win a spot on the bill at the 2010 Apollo Bay Music Festival - entries close today!

Over 3 days in March the Apollo Bay Music Festival brings together an eclectic line up of Australian and International musical talent - proudly supported by ABC Dig Music - and you could be part of the action.

The winner of the competition gets to appear not once but twice on stage over the weekend starting with an unplugged performance of your winning tune at the fully acoustic Earth Hour concert on the Saturday night, where you’ll share the bill with feature festival artists including: Josh White Jnr (USA) and Sally Dastey. Then on the Sunday you'll have an exclusive 25 minute set on the ABC Radio Stage playing between Kasey Chambers and King Marong & The Afro Mandinko.

Interested?  All you need to do is send in a recording of an original composition that must be able to be performed completely unplugged with a theme relating to the environment.

So get cracking and you could find yourself sharing the bill and backstage with this year's stellar line-up including Kasey Chambers, The Flatlanders, Eddi Reader, Chris Smither, James Blundell, Bob Brozman, Snarski V Snarski, Djan Djan featuring Jeff Lang and the Wilson Pickers.

This competition closes today, Friday 5 March and the winner will be announced on Derek Guille's Evening program on Monday 15 March and online at ABC Dig Music on Tuesday 16 March.

For all the entry details, terms and conditions and a full run-down of the prize, go to 774 ABC Melbourne

Better find a way to record a demo digitally quickly! Oh yes and find the cash to cover a train ticket just in case.
Would be fun to meet Kasey, who knows, can but try.

Thanks
