Van Dyke Parks ticket giveaway
Van Dyke Parks career has been diverse, encompassing composing, arranging, producing, singing, writing, acting and performing. One of his best known collaborations was the Beach Boys album 'Smile' (which was released 44 years after it was first recorded). To Australian audiences he was the composer of the orchestral arrangements on silverchair's 2004 release' Diorama' and 2007 release 'Young Modern'.
In his appearance at the 2013 Adelaide Festival, Parks will be performing a career-retrospective of songs from his own albums, such as 'Song Cycle', 'Discover America' and 'Clang of the Yankee Reaper'. The Adelaide Art Orchestra will accompany him, along with special guests Daniel Johns and Kimbra.
ABC Dig Music has 5 double passes to give away to the show at the Thebarton Theatre on March 8.

Parks is perhaps best known for his collaborations with Brian Wilson, and especially for his contributions as a lyricist to the Beach Boys album Smile and Wilson's 2008 solo project, "That Lucky Old Sun".
